I have given away or sold most of these, so I'm very glad that I created a virtual collection of my sands while I had them!

It all started way back in 1982 on a trip to Maui, Hawaii.
The sand there was so different from where I lived, (Montana), I just had to take some home with me.
Since then, I picked up sand from various places; I had over 1000 samples (most have been sold or given away).

It was a rather small collection, really, but it was a wonderful journey - trading allowed me to imagine all those exotic places I would never visit
and meet lots of interesting folks along the way!

I personally collected sand from any source! Oceans, rivers, mountains, deserts...anywhere!
