Europa, the Mom, had three kittens of her own; they were about 3 weeks old when they came to us; Tethys, Titan and Ganymede.
The fourth kitten, a tiny tabby, Enceladus, is an orphan who was introduced to and accepted by the Queen. Enceladus was only a week or so old, far behind the other 3 kittens.
It is important to keep a close eye on this little girl to make sure she continues to gain weight.
Update: May 18th, 2022
The older kittens (Tethys, Titan, Ganymede) are coming along nicely. They still need to be totally weaned as Europa is getting 'over' the mothering thing.
She is still allowing Enceladus (two weeks younger than the others) to feed; I am relieved but keeping a close on on her.
Europa has actually let me touch her lightly and stroke her back. I have hope she will be adoptable; I plan to continue working with her to see just how friendly she can be..
Europa, Mom feline, is much more comfortable. She eats from our hands, lets us pet her a little bit, and hangs out in the main area. She is most definitely an adoptable cat!
Well, after over a month, these guys were ready to find forever homes. Take care Moon Group, I hope Europa finds a human home and of course your kits as well.
Europa gets a break, finally
