Arrived June 29th, 2023.
Off to forever homes on August 15th.
Started very slow with Gabriella, Queen Mum. We are giving (gave) her several days to get used to the new place.

After a few days, it became clear Gabriella was not an agressive cat, just fearful. After a scary hiss, she was ready to get some pets. After about a week, the hissing (for the most part) ended and she was actually happy to see us and to receive much needed TLC.
The kittens will need supplemental feeding to ensure they continue to make acceptable weight gains; it's not easy feeding 8 kittens, just ask Gabriella!

On August 7th, Seven of the nine felines returned to HAWS to begin the next step in finding a forever home.
Gabriella still had a lot of milk (even though she and the kittens had been separated for a week); I felt bad, that must have been uncomfortable! I hope she finds a good home, she was considered 'scary', but turned out to be a sweetie and a very good Mom.
Of course, the other kittens are all adorable, each has his or her own unique personality - have a good, long happy life you little terrors!

So, little Caterina is underweight so she needs a bit more time in foster care. Chiara will hang around with her for company.
